The Early Configurations

The earliest musical configuration of musicians that can be linked to Red Yak was called, I LIke Eating Onion Rings, Because It's Exactly Like Eating Shrimp Only Vegetarian Style. Eric, Rob and Kirk put together this band for one song, along with Ted Kuentz. They performed only one song in atalent show and then broke up.

Years later, Rob and Kirk talked Eric and Darren into joining them in a band that had no name. They rehearsed in Rob's living room while Eric was on Summer vacation. Before Eric went back to school, they recorded a demo and temporarily picked the stupid name, Syndromesiah.

On October 31st, 1992, Dave joined the band, the rehearsal space was moved to Darren's basement and the name of the band was finally changed to Red Yak
